Day of Peace and Meditation

September 11, 2006

Loving and Divine Soul,

God bless you.

I am sending my heartfelt love and best wishes for you.

Today, September 11, reminds us of two major events. One, exactly hundred years ago, Mahatma Gandhi, in South Africa, organized the first public program as Non-violent Public Action against discrimination. It was an historic beginning to solve human problems with practical implementation of peace.

Today, exactly five years ago, we witnessed a barbaric human madness to bring disaster, death, and a difficult situation not only in the USA, but its effect is still visible in the world, which can also be dealt with peace and non-violence.

Peace and non-violence are the core of the philosophy and psychology of yoga and meditation. The world needs more peace and harmony, which can be achieved with the practice of non-violence and love in daily life. Meditation is the practical application of these divine values in daily life.

On this special day, I request all of you to meditate in honor of Mahatma Gandhi as well as for the attainment of peace in the entire world.

We have been requested by Shri Arun Gandhi, a noted grand son of Mahatma Gandhi, to honor this day in prayer and meditation. Please meditate nicely and enjoy the grace of God and masters.

Be a good example of love and harmony in your daily life.

With love,

Prajnanananda
